Dolly Parton, who was born in Locust Ridge Tenn. on the 19th of January. 19. 1946, into a poor family with 12 kids eventually included, discovered early that she could escape suffering through her vivid imagination. In 1974, she resigned from Wagoner's Show because the success of her own songs such as Joshua Coats from Many Colors or Jolene was outstripping their joint releases.
