Anna Paquin, a Canadian-New Zealander actress. Paquin is a Canadian as well as a New Zealand actress. Born in Winnipeg but brought up in Wellington the city where she was born, she had her first appearance as an actor on screen in The Piano. In this romantic drama film at 11 years old, Paquin won her second Oscar for Best Actress. Anna Paquin's full name is Anna Helene Paquin. Born July 24th 1982 on the 24th of July 1982 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada, she was the first Canadian birthed New Zealand actress. As an infant, she won the Academy Award for best support actress. The role she played as the talkative and inquisitive girl of Holly Hunter played in The Piano (1993) brought her the award.
