Paula Patton was born in Los Angeles in a middle-class family. She grew up with big dreams. Her greatest roles are the spy action film Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol as well as the romantic dramatic Precious. The majority of her childhood was lived living in Los Angeles where she came from a middle class family. A passion for film within her daughter was a skill that was a gift from her mother, who also loved watching movies. Paula loved participating in school co-curricular activities, and was particularly fond of drama. Paula loved acting with friends and was a part of school stage performances. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School staged a variety of plays, and the actress decided that acting was the career she wanted to pursue. She was in The University of Southern Cal's summer camp, and loved tremendously. She was awarded an award for a PBS three-month project to film documentaries. After completing the project, she started working as an assistant in the production of TV documentaries. After that, she started producing documentaries. While she was happy with her work however, she longed for being an actor. Her career in acting started with an unimportant role with Will Smith in the romantic comedy Hitch. Since then she's appeared in numerous movies and shows.
