
Suzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, passed away January 19, 2008 in the United States. She was an American film theatre, television, as well as voice actor. Pleshette began her stage career, and then she appeared in films during the latter half of the 1950s. She then appeared in notable films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). From 1972 until 1978, Pleshette would appear regularly on various television productions. She also was the character Emily Hartley, which earned her numerous Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was born on January 31, 1937, in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1 and Eugene Pleshette. Her parents were Jewish, the descendants of immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary.Her mother was an artist and dancer who performed on stage under the name Geraldine Rivers.
